Fractured Online Opens Data Transfer From Gamigo Accounts and Teases Skill Revamp and More to Come

Fractured Online has opened up the promised data migration tool that will bring transfer account info over from Gamigo now that the companies have gone their separate ways.

The transfer option is now available for those who have played the game on Glyph, Gamigo’s platform. After Dynamight Studios and Gamigo announced the end of their publishing partnership, the team announced that this option would be coming before the game reopens soon. If you bought the game on Glyph or Steam or created and migrated an account over to Gamigo last spring, then now’s the time to convert your info over.

With the change, the old Gamigo-run founders’ packs no longer apply, so Dynamight is crediting migrated accounts that had those purchases with the equivalent level of package in the current shop. These packs are also available for purchase on their own as well, granting access when the game is available again.

There is a transfer FAQ available regarding what information is going to transfer, in-game data, and other concerns. The short version is that what’s going over to Dynamight Studios will be data regarding your purchases. They wiped the servers, so there’s nothing else. The rest of your data is also not transferring, including payment info. For those who bought the game on Steam, access will remain if you get a migration token via Glyph, which is part of the migration process. That  migration token will grant you full access to the game on Steam when it opens up again.

The team says that they  are planning to announce when the game will open up again in the coming days.

In the meantime, there’s also a post with a couple of small spoilers about what to expect. There are details on changes to skills and progression, including lowering barriers and some more traditional progression markers. Some changes to schools, and all of the skills have been redesigned. See that post for more details, including some images.
