Fractured Online is preparing for their big “Endgame Changer” patch and have begun recruiting guilds to help them beta test the big update. They’ve released a new patch today intended to issue a series of critical fixes, including patching out item dupes and additional precautionary fixes.
The big Endgame Changer patch has so far gotten at least 30 guilds to beta test it, and while the team is not letting individual players test the new patch, since they’re looking to get a solid type of specific data, the NDA only applies to game footage. This means that if you’re a member of a participating guild, you’re free to share about your experiences. Dynamite’s CEO has also promised to share footage via a series of videos to detail all of the upcoming major changes, so we can expect those soon.
He reassured players that they will have time to prepare for the big changes ahead before the patch is ready to go.
“All that is being tested can be freely discussed, so you'll be fully informed even if you are not a participant just by asking (and you'll get my videos, too). I know some of you were worried about not being able to prepare for big impactful changes while guilds could. That is not the case.”
The patch from today fixed two separate, limited, item dupe bugs. Other things people can no longer do include governors deleting player houses within their city (an eviction system is on the way), to initiate trade requests when you’ve been KO’ed or when either person is in combat, and use the friendly gesture to lend someone a cart, who would then steal it. You also can’t destroy your own items when KO’ed. The issue with trade requests was that some were using initiating trade with others as an annoyance and PvP disruption.
Other changes include adding variety to Jotun chests to make sure a variety of monsters would come out, and letting co-owners invite friends to a land parcel.
More on the big update will be revealed soon. See details on today’s update in the notes at Fractured Online.
