Fractured Online is going free to play on November 20th, and switching to a seasonal model. Here’s what Season 1 will look like.
The season will last for 90 days and will feature rewards and challenges. Dynamight Studios is quick to say not to call this a battle pass.
Glory is the progression marker you’ll earn on individual characters. Things that will earn you some Glory include completing daily quests and conquering fortresses, crafting artifacts, and doing things like running God Trials. Gain Glory for killing Exalted and Infused monsters in PvE trials and for killing Galvanos Legends and opening Corrupted rewards and Coins of Fate in PvP trials. It's important to know that if you are completing a group activity, like conquering fortresses, Glory rewards will be split equally between all participants.
Free accounts get 100 levels of rewards per season. VIP accounts get 200, and if those players fill the entire bar, they can still farm runes and schematics. That's the difference between free and VIP accounts.
When you unlock a level, you'll earn crates, pouches, and scrolls that will transform into crafting materials, runes, gold, crafting recipes, artifact schematics, Dynamight tokens, and more.
Supremacy is the measure to earn for guild progression. As you play and earn Glory for your characters, you'll also be earning Glory for your guild that converts to Supremacy. The conversion rate differs depending on how you earned that glory. PVP is going to result in more favorable rates. Guilds can also earn Supremacy by having cities pledged to them, and they can also raid other guilds’ cities and steal their Supremacy. PVP and competition are still clearly still important in the new Fractured Online.
The update will also add Guild Alliances. Guild leaders can propose an alliance by paying gold and invite other leaders to join. This gets you a shared Alliance chat, visible markers of membership, and you can do things like defend fortresses together. If you form alliances, and your guild gains Glory from your members, your guild only gets 50%, and the rest is split among your allies. You'll have to be strategic about alliances.
Individual characters will get rewards as they continue marking season progress, and guilds will get rewards at the end of the season based on their accomplishments. At the end of the season, guilds will get rewards including those who enter the Diamond bracket and for leaderboard achievements.
