The Fractured site has been updated with a lengthy post to lay out the details about how PvE players and PvP players will "coexist in a single massive game server". The discussion begins with how systems currently in use in many MMOs is lacking and do not "manage to strike the right balance".

To accomplish this, several systems are intertwined in a complex fashion to allow players to pursue specific alignments nearly at will. Alignments fall on the "classic D&D scale", though racial and planetary restrictions are in place. For instance, Demons from Tartaros can only choose Evil alignment on the moral spectrum, while Beastmen can only choose Good alignment.

Alignment is also affected by Karma, the indicator of where "your character stands between good and evil. It ranges from -10k (Diabolic) to +10k (Holy) and is influenced by "how you interact with other players and the environment, which Gods you worship, and more".

There are also criminal flags that can restrict alignment too: Thief or Murderer that have alignment effects as well as real world hour consequences.

The post goes on to explore Good, Neutral and Evil alignments and how each affects players' gaming experiences. This includes both PvP activities and PvE activities as well as Temple Offerings, becoming a Champion of a God through Divine Quests and more.

It's a detailed look at a complex system, so head over to the Fractured site to dive in.
