New details on the Foxhole summer update are here, as well as a little on the annual update later this year.

The summer update will be an interim update mostly focus on improvements and fixes. This matches up with the previously announced change in content updates, as well as the focus on smaller in between updates with more mechanical and maintenance changes.

The latest devblog updates what is coming in the next update, Update 58, and it's true there's no new content but it's all about tuning and making the game better. Facilities get some improvements, like a new modification for Stationary Harvesters that allows production when a resource field is depleted. Production orders that pause when you have a lack of resources will automatically resume when you have sufficient resources. Squads will be able to reserve foundations. and now when you swap between recipes it will maintain your setting as personal or public instead of always going back to personal.

There are other improvements in the update, including tweaks to the option screen, UI, optimizations, and other changes. Expect more helpful things like easier  vehicle refueling that checks all nearby liquid sources for any usable liquids instead of only the closest source. and you can also use multiple liquid types to refuel simultaneously when your structure holds multiple liquids. For security, you'll be able to reset the passcode and revoke access  when needed. Even tweaks like all train car passengers will be able to see the train HUD.  these and more improvements are on the way.

Update 59, on the other hand, will be Foxhole’s annual content update, with new major content, major features, and another slate of balance changes. While this will be the annual update, it will be smaller in scale than previous updates like Naval Warfare.
