Siege Camp previewed what’s coming in the next Foxhole update, Update 60 and how it fits into the 2025 roadmap.
Update 60 is set to be a smaller update that focuses on refinements and a little bit of new content. What we're looking at is some balance changes, a series of bug fixes, some minor new content additions and some tweaks. Look out for performance optimizations both server and client side, specifically to address things like framerate drops in certain environments in particular. This should translate to smoother movement.
They’re introducing some improved anti-griefing measures that include an improved vehicle restoration system which enables tracking of vehicle losses. they're also adding player status icons to show if a player recently went offline or is in a different region and the global event log will record different player actions including vehicle loss.
The other changes coming in the update are flavor changes, things like deployable banners that you can place, some aesthetic changes, and a reworked Warden tank that will have better visuals and better environmental integration. You’ll also be able to vault while you're carrying a wounded ally, and importantly, medical rooms will be invulnerable to friendly fire.
The dev branch is available for testing and that is already underway. You can test the build or even just browse the notes for more details.
As far as the Foxhole roadmap, in the video (at 3:09) they show that Update 61 will happen in the spring and that is also going to be a minor update that focuses again on some minor content additions, some features, fixes, and balance updates. Over the summer, Update 62 will be mostly a maintenance update with more fixes, balance tweaks, and small additions.
Throughout all of this, the wars will continue so you can dip in and out but everything is leading to the previously-announced Airborne update. That's bringing the next gameplay expansion, all new features, and major content additions and updates.
