Epic has laid out the first details for its Fortnite Fall Skirmish season that is scheduled to begin in October. Everyone will be able to participate and a number of tweaks to the previous system will be implemented thanks to data gleaned from 78.3 players taking part in the game in August. Having such a large body of data "exposed weak points and allowed [Epic] to make targeted improvements to critical systems such as stats and servers".
500 Fortnite community creators and competitors have been divided into five clubs: Fort Knights, Lucky Llamas, Dusty Dogs, Rift Raiders and Bush Bandits. Points will be awarded to each Club based on members' performances. "In addition to awarding players with prizes for each event, Clubs will be awarded with $4,000,000 in prizes at the conclusion of the Fall Skirmish series based on total points earned". Those details will be revealed in greater detail on the Fall Skirmish site at a later date.
There are a number of different ways that teams can earn additional points for their Club as well including Weekly Skirmishes, Weekly Trials, Solo / Duo / Squad Skirmishes and more.
You can check out the full details on the Fortnite site and keep eyes peeled for more information as the first event dates near.
