It looks like Fortnite is heading to China based on one of Epic's recent Twitter posts. In the accompanying picture, one of the game iconic characters, "Jonesy", has a passport with an entry stamp for China dated April 23rd. It's possible that that's the day that the "Battle Bus" will take off in China.

There are some interesting thoughts to consider with this move:

  • What will the ramifications for PUBG be given Fortnite's arrival?
  • Given Epic's assertive stance on cheats and hacks, how will the Chinese market fare under those conditions?
  • Is Epic partnering with a Chinese publisher to bring Fortnite in-country?
  • Which platforms will be supported?
  • Will any changes to the game need to be implemented to fit China's stricter gaming guidelines?

We'll keep you posted as the story develops!

In another interesting tidbit, Gamespot is reporting that the Buffalo Bills from the National Football League in the US has used Fortnite to announce its 2018 schedule. The video remarks on the team boarding the "battle bus" and shows a look at several football stadiums around the country along with live action footage of the Bills.
