Square Enix is set to release Foamstars’ new season, “The Party Goes On!” next week. After that, the party is kind of not going on, as this will be the final new content update. Servers will stay up though, with a few things to keep the game running with stuff to do.

The new update and new season will run from December 13th to January 17th, and after that, the team will include what they're calling expansions to the gameplay, including the ability to customize shots of the characters, new enhancements, and the re-release of all previous season passes.

If you didn't complete any season passes or you want to get started on the track and collect some new stuff, you can go back to whatever you want and switch it anytime. so if you missed anything in the past, you'll have another chance to get them.

There will be no changes to pricing, however, so if you are a free player, you won't be able to do any premium passes because those will still be paid. However, the Party Popper: Bubbles,  was a premium item and it will become available through the standard season pass.

Effectively, the game will be going into maintenance mode, with shop updates,”EXTREME PARTY” events running every Saturday, and the Foamstars Cup,  which was once the “Ranked Party”. Versus mode will also retain Casual and Private Party options.

Releasing less than a year ago, Foamstars couldn’t find its footing, and the game went free to play back in October, remaining a PlayStation exclusive. At the time, there was a new season with the free to play conversion, but it seems that the free to play conversion didn't quite bring in enough attention to keep development going.
