With Foamstars out in just a few days, the upcoming hero shooter that is something like Splatoon, announced its upcoming roadmap..
Foamstars is a shooter developed by Square Enix, known for games like Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Kingdom Hearts and more. Yesterday during the State of Play livestream, the game debuted with a fantastic trailer showcasing what everyone can expect from the new foamtastic shooter.
Today, Square Enix posted a roadmap for the game, which includes a new foamstar, several new skins, different modes, and extreme parties to conquer, as well as new maps, Squad missions, and season passes.
Season one will drop on February 6, 2024, and runs until March 8, 2024. Titled “Starry Pop”, the season will include several seasonal events for players to partake in, such as Ranked Party, where players will spend RP or Rank Points on 5-round matches. RP will be awarded dependent on the results of the match after the final round has concluded.
Extreme Party events are limited time events where players can choose from two different themed modes; All Mell T Party and Invisible Party. All Mel T Party mode that pins all players within the match against each other as the same character, CEO Mel T. Invisible Party on the other hand is a frantic mode where everyone becomes invisible, only being spotted once they are hit, and teams will need to score 10 takedowns to take the victory.
There are several more interesting things in the pipeline for the Foamstars roadmap and the game's debut. Anyone wishing to hone in on the fun will need to wait until its release in just a few more days. We really enjoyed our time with Foamstars back at Summer Game Fest last year, and we're pretty eager to go hands-on once it launches next week.
