Temtem: Swarm is getting a beta test in September, and developer Crema is giving more details and opening signups.
The team announced that their private alpha tests were successful and resulted in a lot of good feedback, so it’s on to the next phase. The first Temtem: Swarm beta test is set to start on September 12th and run through October 1st. If you're interested in testing in the first round of beta, you can head over to Steam, wishlist the game, and click request access to be considered.
In the beta test you can expect two maps, Cipanku, a “techno-oriental promenade” under some cherry blossoms, and Deniz, patterned after a Mediterranean beach. Each of the arenas has its own theme, enemies, items you can pick up, and of course different bosses and many bosses. Each map has two mini bosses and a final boss with their own mechanics to learn.
You can also expect to have four Tems to use in the test. When the game fully launches there will be many. In this beta, you'll be able to unlock Innki, Oree, and Pigepic along the way. You’ll also start off with Platypet to assist you. Every Tem will have a skill tree that you can invest in to create the build you want, and respec when needed. Complete challenges on maps to make progress towards Kudos. Hitting those achievements means that sometimes you'll unlock eggs, and other times you'll be able to unlock ways to boost your power.
This first test will be handled through Steam, so if you are accepted, you’ll get an email from Steam on the 12th to confirm. Crema does say that they are planning several rounds of beta testing so if you don't make it this time, there will be future tests. The test will not be covered by NDA so you can stream and make content about it. Seems that things are going to be pretty open.
Temtem: Swarm is currently set for a Q4 release.
