First Female Player Reportedly On Tap to Join Overwatch League

PCGameN is reporting that the first female Overwatch player is ready to join the professional ranks in the Overwatch League. "Geguri" is a world class Zarya player and has sent out a Twitter clip indicating she's going to be joining a "foreign team" and that she'd received many offers from League owners. She did not say which team she is joining, though the speculation is that it will be the New York Excelsior.

The Excelsior is a team that is fully native Korean. Given that Geguri does not speak English and she said that she was joining a "foreign team", it could not be the Seoul Dynasty. Playing for the Excelsior would mean a quick integration and a fast start to playing.
