Final Fantasy XIV’s Moonfire Faire event is starting this Thursday, and the team has a rundown of all the activities, details on how to participate, and of course, rewards. Square Enix has also announced preorder and release info for the Dawntrail soundtrack.
This year's Moonfire Faire runs through August 26th and until then, get started on having fun in the summer in Eorzea. Once you get the event quest, “Fire Red, Beast Green” head over to Costa del Sol to let people know about the event and really get things rolling. As you progress through the event quest steps, you'll have opportunities to get some brand new rewards, along with returning ones.
Up first is a new way to keep cool, with a giant fan. Get yourself the Uchiwasshoi emote and enjoy a cooler summer. Uchiwa means fan in Japanese and This is a very big fan, particularly if, as the event announcement illustrates, you play as a Lalafell. Another thing you can get is the Bouncing Bomb Balloon tabletop furnishing. Regular balloons are a little boring, so these festive balloons add a little bit of spice to your home.
Other aspects of the festival you can check out include the Eorzean Nimble Warrior course, a few select photo op spots, and even find the NPCs that you can only see during the event.
For those who’ve been thoroughly immersed in Dawntrail since the expansion launched, the soundtrack is on the way. A listing has been added to the Square Enix store to pre-order the import CD set. Included will be 66 tracks, and if you buy the album, you'll find an in-game item code that will give you a Wind-up Zero minion.
The soundtrack will be out in November.
