Final Fantasy XIV will have its next Letter From the Producer Live next week, featuring new Dawntrail content, including live gameplay. The announcement comes as the team is once again working to reassure stability following DDoS attacks.
With the Dawntrail expansion coming on July 2nd, it’s no surprise that things are ramping up quickly. The stream will be live on June 14th starting at 4am PDT / 7am EDT. For those night owls or early risers out there, there will be live interpretation for the Japanese-language presentation. When the stream arrives in 10 days, those who want that English interpretation should tune into the official Final Fantasy XIV Twitch or YouTube channels.
There’s no word yet on just what will be featured, but let’s face it, it’s the next Final Fantasy XIV expansion, set to expand the world, the story, and options for how to enjoy the game. But the official announcement simply puts it this way:“With Early Access on the horizon, the next Letter from the Producer LIVE will be bringing you the latest updates on Dawntrail, featuring some live gameplay!”
This announcement comes as Square Enix has been getting more DDoS attacks affecting the servers. Late last week, there were additional issues, and they released a new update on Friday, saying that there were more attacks that morning, with disconnects from North American servers, login issues, and more instability, but that things had been restored and they would continue to monitor the situation. With the next huge expansion on the way, and congestion likely to be up again, it is a positive that they seem to be fixing these faster.
