Final Fantasy XIV Patch 7.1, Crossroads, is coming tomorrow, and we can see everything on the way with the release of the patch notes.
The update includes new main scenario quests and an improvement that will show a marker on the minimap when a new MSQ is available in the vicinity. Chronicles of a New Era quests will also arrive, adding Echoes of Vana’diel and linking FFXIV and Final Fantasy XI. Enter a series of quests and the first new raid in the series, the alliance raid dungeon, Jeuno: The First Walk. Normal difficulty will come in this patch, with Ultimate eventually coming in 7.11, and Chaotic difficulty coming later.
Speaking of dungeons, there’s the introduction of Yuweyawata Field Station.
There are a number of other quests on the way too, including Pelupelu allied society quests, Hildebrand's return, and wrap-up quests for those who completed Dawntrail role quests or all Wachumeqimeqi quests.
In addition, there are some additions to New Game+, and adjustments to quests, including that if you hide nearby players, it won't hide your friends by default anymore. The setting is now “also hide nearby party members and friends”, which lets you do those two things separately now. There's also a new layout for the quest completion window and a change to also make sure you get a reminder pop up if you choose complete before you actually select your reward.
Housing gets a few tweaks, including the ability to change your estate's interior design, and some new furnishing items and separately, additions from past Furnishings Design Contests.
Overall, the notes give us a rundown of some of week we can expect in tomorrow's update, and there's more to come in the future of this patch series, with PVP updates, new Duty Support content, and more.
