Final Fantasy XIV has opened a minisite to preview Patch 7.1, Crossroads, which is scheduled for sometime in mid-November.
The latest update minisite will continue to get new content as we get closer to 7.1’s release. The next Letter from the Producer Live stream is happening on November 1st. We expect to get a release date for the patch that day, so it shouldn't be long now until we know a lot more. For now, though, There are some details on what's ahead, along with new screenshots.
A new Alliance Raid Dungeon, Echoes of Vana'diel - Jeuno: The First Walk, is coming, drawing some links, as “A pall of unease has settled over Yak T'el, and memories of a world not our own now find themselves buried in the woods”. There are secrets and, perhaps connections, yet to be revealed. New dungeon, Yuweyawata Field Station and new Trial, The Minstrel's Ballad: Sphene's Burden both get new blurbs and screenshots. All of these upcoming new features come with an air of mystery as well as an emphasis on memory.
The minisite will get more about 7.1 and later 7.x material over time. Some of the features we know are on the way include more Main Scenario quests, Ultimate Raid Futures Rewritten, Unreal Trial, The Jade Stoa (Unreal), Chaotic Alliance Raid, Cloud of Darkness (Chaotic), and lots of side content to do. We'll also get a housing update, new PVP gear, and of course new stuff to collect like mounts, minions, and emotes.
For now, to tide us over until next week’s stream, which will dive into 7.2 and show off some new gameplay from 7.x, we have this new info.
