Two special sites for Final Fantasy XIV detailing Patch 5.5 and the digital Final Fantasy Festival have been updated recently. Players looking forward to the changes coming in Patch 5.5 will have a lot to get excited about with the Death Unto Dawn main scenario.
As the release for Final Fantasy XIV patch 5.5 nears its release on April 13th, the team at Square Enix has provided further details about the new main scenario quests, the new dungeon, the PlayStation 5 Open Beta, and an expansive list of additional features headed to the game:

Death Unto Dawn will be split up into two parts, both of which will lead into Endwalker the next expansion for Final Fantasy XIV that was teased back in February. If you’re interested in what else is going on with Final Fantasy XIV, you should definitely look forward to the digital Final Fantasy Fan Festival this year.
The two-day festival begins Friday May14th, and ends on May 15th and will be streamed live from the Tokyo Garden Theater. All in-game items have yet to be revealed, but a new mount, the Lunar Whale was teased in a short video.
Players can also expect new minions from Final Fantasy IV of Rydia, Edge and Rosa. Final Fantasy fans won’t want to miss the keynote address, the development panel, or the Letter from the Producer Live. With two big story updates and a Fall release for Endwalker 2021 is shaping up to be a big year for Final Fantasy XIV.
