Square Enix has created a real-life Aetheryte Crystal in Central London to help welcome the latest expansion heading to Final Fantasy XIV, Dawntrail.
The statue can be found outside King’s Cross St Pancras Station and will hang around for only a short while, as the release of Dawntrail is almost here. These crystals are well-known by any Final Fantasy XIV fan, as they are used to travel between major cities and small towns in-game in the blink of an eye. The Final Fantasy XIV pop-up event has ended with the Aetheryte Crystal now taken down, but not before masses of Warriors of Light attuned to it.
Thank you for attending the #FFXIV London Fan Gathering and for attuning to the #FFXIVKingsCross aetheryte! ???We look forward to seeing you all in Dawntrail! ?? pic.twitter.com/I12oKn1lDw

Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail is set to release on June 28th for those who splurged a little and purchased the Collector’s Edition, but those who did not will have to wait until July 2nd to enter the latest expansions world.
As a brief reminder to fans, the Major Server Travel feature will be disabled during the launch of Dawntrail, and for those itching to get in ASAP, it might take a bit longer than expected. Dawntrail is highly anticipated, and with a title like Final Fantasy always being highly anticipated, that means there could be some server congestion when trying to get in.
