FINAL FANTASY XIV fans that have preordered Dawntrail your time has come! The much-anticipated early access for the Dawntrail expansion has officially begun. Preorder players can embark on their journey to the new region of Tural ahead of the official launch on Tuesday, July 2.
While it is certainly an exciting time for FFXIV players, Square Enix’s latest Lodestone article wants players to remember to be considerate of those who might start later. While there are no restrictions on sharing content, it's encouraged to avoid spoilers for the sake of others.
Square Enix has also warned that players should take heed of the upcoming influx of players hitting the servers all at the same time. As with most major expansion launches, Square Enix is expecting some heavy server congestion that will result in login queues, and world visit restrictions, which means if a world is full non-home world characters will be limited on when they can log in. Some users have already experienced issues with world hopping, which has resulted in several players getting stuck or being unable to select their home world as a destination.
