Final Fantasy XIV is getting ready for its 11th anniversary event, The Rising, next week.
Everyone has a little more time to finish enjoying the Moonfire Faire, but after that ends on August 26th, it's anniversary time. The anniversary event begins on Tuesday, August 27th at 12:00 a.m. PDT And runs through September 11th. To take part and get the event quest, you’ll have to get over to Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks, find the Wandering Minstrel, and take the quest to help finish getting everything ready for the celebration.
As part of the event, you can get your hands on the new Brushed-up Krile minion, a replica of the pictomancer companion dressed in her outfit from Dawntrail. If you've completed the new expansion content, then you'll be familiar with her and this is one way to commemorate those adventures and go on new ones. Also available as part of the event is a new tabletop furnishing item, Rising Table Lamp. The new table lamp draws its design from the Rising decorations for the party.
Most players are likely familiar with what’s available in these anniversary events, but if this is your first time taking part, there are new unlocks for you. Specifically, a number of minigames that were playable from previous event years will become available to you. Just interact with the Toy Chest in inn rooms or access it via the Toy Box furnishing item.

These minigames include Cheap Dungeon, a take on a classic dungeon crawl made, complete with timer to see how many times you can beat your best scores. Help a moogle defend against enemies by using a ball in Kupo Kupo Adventure. Slide I +XIV Is a puzzle game where you have to rearrange numbers in order.
Challenge yourself at these games and more, complete the event quest, and you'll be marking 11 years with some new goodies.
