Final Fantasy XI will get its August update next week, with new monthly content refreshes and returning events.
The update is coming on August 13th, as announced in a post from director and producer Yoji Fujito. This will start a new login campaign.
Records of Eminence have updated objectives on the way. Expect a monthly Ambuscade change, and prepare to fight Meebles and Morbols. Meebles unleash an elemental attack after a certain time, so line up those barspells to guard against the damage. Jody, Julika, and Vivian will be ready to face you and represent the Morbols. Get ready to use some important strategies against the tentacled trio to take them down.
There are some events coming in the update, with the return of the Sunbreeze festival. Head to the festival grounds, Enjoy the summer, take up some dancing, and of course enjoy the music. Then, take in a stage show, and browse the offerings from the vendors.

The Green Festival will be starting up too when the update goes live. This event happens in Lower Jeuno. One of the highlights here is the stalls for several regional vendors selling and stocking items from all around the land. This limited-time event also brings a Morbol-themed cafe to town, So if you are looking for a tentacle sushi, a latte with Morbol whipped cream, or other goodies, you may find them here.
The update will also add some new items, adjust UI elements, and also update the Porter Moogle.
