A “Happy New Year” message from the Final Fantasy XI team looks ahead to this year as they talk about their plans for story.
2021 actually marks the 19th year of Final Fantasy XI and as a result, the team is planning several activities running up to the 20th anniversary next year. Because of that, the post points to several new stories,
“…we're proud that we were able to bring you the first several entries in The Voracious Resurgence, our all-new storyline that will carry us from August 2020 through the 20th Vana'versary.”
Look forward to expanded storage options as well, in addition to new character growth options for all jobs. They close out by reflecting on the pandemic which has gripped the industry and world all year writing,
“Let's work together to keep each other safe and to conquer this threat in the same way that our adventurers have toppled the various challenges facing Vana'diel.”
