When the Final Fantasy VII Remake combat was debuted a few months back, many players were excited, but some purists wondered how it would work without the traditional turn-based combat. Well, according to the team at the Tokyo Game Show, ATB Gauges are making their way back into Midgar.
Thanks to a tweet from the show floor at TGS, the official Final Fantasy VII Remake Twitter announced the inclusion of a classic combat mode, bringing turn-based combat back to Final Fantasy VII.
We got a glimpse at both "Easy" and "Normal" modes from the in-game option menus, and Kitase-san then showed us a new combat mode, named "Classic Mode". pic.twitter.com/MTVKeFgBL6

According to the thread on Twitter, players who opt for the Classic Mode in remake can simply "focus on selecting commands, making it possible to play [Final Fantasy VII Remake] as if it were a classic menu-based RPG!"
Players can get their hands on the Remake on March 3, 2020 on PlayStation 4. Check out the exciting TGS Trailer below.
