Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth will have the fourth largest file size on the PlayStation 5 when it launches next month on February 29, clocking in at a whopping 145GB. This puts it behind only Star Wars: Jedi Survivor (148 GB), NBA 2K23 (153 GB), and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War (175 GB).
The game made an appearance this week at Sony’s first State of Play of 2024, with Sony announcing a dedicated follow-up show to focus squarely on Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth early next week on Tuesday, February 6th at 3:30PM PT.
There aren’t any concrete details as to what Square Enix will showcase next week, but we do know we’ll be getting an “extended look” at the game. This isn’t the first time Sony has given an entire State of Play event to a single game, as there have been State of Plays dedicated to other PlayStation exclusives including Ghost of Tsushima, The Last of Us Part II, and Horizon: Forbidden West.
Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth is part two of the three part remake of Square Enix’s seminal 1997 RPG, Final Fantasy VII, which released on the original PlayStation.
