As Final Fantasy 14 is prepping for its next patch, Death Unto Dawn, to release tomorrow, the team is already looking ahead to next month. The FFXIV team announced today the timing for their next Letter from the Producer LIVE, which will be taking place during its upcoming Digital Fan Festival in May.

Patch 5.55 will be on the agenda, as well as a special guest: main scenario writer Natsuko Ishikawa. Ishikawa, in case you're not familiar, is the writer behind the main scenario quests Shadowbringers, which has been heralded by many as one of the best expansions of any MMO out there. She'll be taking questions during next month's Live Letter, so those eager to pick her brain can start to get those questions ready.

Patch 5.55 will also be discussed as the story leads into the next expansion, Endwalker, coming later this year. Players will be fresh off the heels of Death Unto Dawn, also known as Final Fantasy 14's Patch 5.5, so it'll be interesting to see what the team has in store for the next update and addition to the game.

Final Fantasy 14's Digital Fan Festival is taking place next month starting on May 14th and running through May 15th. The two day event will be coming to fans around the world live from Tokyo's Garden Theater and players will be able to earn in-game items, a new mount and more by participating in the festivities. Check out the official website for more information on the events to take part in during the weekend. FFXIV's Death Unto Dawn patch arrives tomorrow alongside the Open Beta for the PlayStation 5 version.
