Little Ladies’ Day in Final Fantasy 14 event is returning, but this year, there’s a princely twist and reward. It’s based off of a Japanese shinto holiday called Hinamatsuri, which celebrates girls under ten for blessings for their longevity and health, and FFXIV’s Little Ladies’ Day tends to be about empowerment, encouragement, and kindness.
As shown in the official post, this year’s reward seems to be part of a “Seneschal Prince” outfit, with a very Fire Emblem-esque suit, trousers, gloves, and boots—and yes, they all have two dye slots, and can be worn by either gender. However, the most unique part of the outfit to note is the Headset, which more resembles a boy band headset that they’d wear during 2000s performances in front of thousands of screaming ladies.
Beyond this, there are clues that we’re getting the male equivalent of the years-old Songbirds girl idol group, an older icon of the fictional holiday. The 2025 event is called “Heartfelt Memories, Sung unto the Sky,” and the quest is called “A Princely Persona,” so there are certainly hints at a performance. Or maybe they’re a spy?
Also, the cover photo this year is of old Thancred giving Minfilia some treats. Yes, you read that right. It’s also the cover image for this article. How bittersweet—per the title of the event, though, maybe it’ll be clear soon.
The event runs from March 3 at 12:00 a.m. PST until March 17 at 7:59 a.m. PDT. Yes, Daylight Savings Time starts off somewhere between those dates in America, so keep that in mind for your cooldowns.
Not long after that, we're probably getting Patch 7.2 with a few huge pieces of content, either the next day or the next week; in the meantime, they'll also have the Moogle Treasure Trove if you want to grab a few niche items (or a shot again at the Inferno Jacket). Basically, between those and this (honestly really neat) Little Ladies' Day outfit, there are probably a few good reasons to restart your subscription soon.
