FFXIV's Hatching-tide Starts On April 9th With An Easter Egg-Themed Parasol

This year’s Easter-themed Hatching-tide in Final Fantasy 14 has been announced, starting April 9, with a nifty, well-decorated parasol as the prize. 

Hatching-tide is probably the strangest of canon FFXIV holidays, as it arose when a young woman saw the visions of Twelve Archons returning to save the planet from the Seventh Umbral Calamity by manifesting in egg vessels. Others apparently saw and found comfort in the vision, too, hence the spread of the holiday. 

This year’s FFXIV Easter event prize is a brightly-colored parasol painted gold like an extremely regal Easter egg, called the Archon Egg Parasol. The parasol does appear to be the only item for this specific Easter event. 

Most importantly, we get the return of “pa-paya, pa-paya paya paya pa-paya,” the only Easter theme that matters.  

Per FFXIV's official page, the event goes live on April 9 at 1:00 a.m. PDT, with the prophetic NPC found in New Gridania’s usual Mih Khetto's Amphitheatre, and continues until April 24 at 7:59 a.m. PDT. Hopefully, it doesn't take too much time out of your 7.2 grinding to get.
