FFXIV Login Campaign Returns: How to Get Up to 4 Days of Playtime Free This January and February 2025

The Final Fantasy 14 Free Login Campaign has returned, giving players who’ve been away up to four free days to login and play without limits. This campaign is for users who’ve been away for a month, allowing them to try the newest content that’s likely dropped since their departure.

The Login Campaigns tend to come somewhat regularly, but the timing here is interesting, as a third-party data analyst believes FFXIV is set to fall between one million active users at its current trajectory. We’re in a lull of serious, grindable content, too, so those numbers aren’t likely to rise so quickly.

Despite the perceived slump, if you wanted to chip away at the game’s MSQ or give the Final Fantasy 11 Alliance Raid that premiered with 7.1 a spin, this is a perfectly reasonable way and excuse to do so.

How to use the FFXIV Free Login Campaign

Firstly, the login campaign is only available for players whose service accounts have respectively been offline for at least thirty days. After all, it is a campaign aimed at getting players to dip their toes back into the game and tempt them into subscribing again, so if you’ve been doing all the content lately, you’re likely not the target audience.

All you need to do in order to join the login campaign is log into the game on any platform you have already registered, and the four days of free time begins.

Keep in mind that the four days includes the day you logged in. That’s to say, you’ll get the rest of the day you logged in up to 11:59 p.m. PST, plus three days on top of that, until 11:59 p.m. PST on that last, fourth day (for American accounts, presumably). The tip here is to log in as early as possible that first day.

You can also only use one service account per Square Enix account—so if you use a Steam one, chances are it won’t let you jump in with a Playstation one since Steam separates its Service Accounts for currency reasons.

The full details, including specifics on what is and isn’t allowed, are outlined on the FFXIV official site.
