FFXIV Cosmic Explorer's Star Contributor Issue Addressed

Square Enix has issued a statement concerning issues related to the designation of the Cosmic Explorer’s Star Contributor participation in content released through FFXIV Patch 7.21. The acknowledgement came through a short post, which outlined the issue concerning the new Cosmic Exploration content.

Square Enix shared details concerning FFXIV’s Cosmic Explorer’s Star Contributor issue through a post, which included the state of the content. While processing contributions after May 1, 2025 will no longer be impacted by the issue, which arose through problems synchronizing multiple instances to calculate days elapsed since the release of the content. Because of this, Square Enix cannot guarantee that contributors from from the period of April 23 to April 29, 2025 will receive their rewards.

Upon release of 7.21 and the introduction of Cosmic Exploration, some concerns were raised by the community about the breakneck pace in which people were completing the available content. It is unclear if Square Enix will address this issue directly.
