As previously reported, the PTS for Fallout 76 was set to reopen in mid-March. However, there were no concrete dates provided at the time. It seems that time is today. Bethesda provided some additional information in the latest edition of Inside the Vault.
They note that if you have Fallout 76 through Behtesda.net, you should already have access to the PTS. New features for testing on the PTS include the SPECIAL Loadouts, CAMP slots, the Daily Ops expansion, and more.
Additionally, if you play on the PTS server to test these features, you’ll receive a PTS-themed pennant for your CAMP for the live version. You’ll have to play for at least one hour per day for three different days on PTS to be eligible.
In case you missed it during yesterday’s Bethesda Joins Xbox roundtable, Todd Howard was very straightforward regarding the disastrous launch of Fallout 76 by saying,
“When that game launched, the litany of issues we had, and we let a lot of people down, and, well, there was very little we didn't screw up honestly.”
