The toilet paper shortage is real in Fallout 76.
As reported by Polygon, it appears that players are hoarding toilet paper in Bethesda’s wasteland. The game is full of loads of items, which you can break down as junk. Given this mechanic, it still seems odd, though definitely humorous, that players in a video game are virtually hoarding toilet paper.
It should be noted, while this may be done in jest, this actually does appear to have some sort of effect on the in-game economy.

Someone’s got 2 rolls of toilet paper in their vending machine for an obscenely large amount of caps in this Fallout 76 server. Well played. ??
