Bethesda has announced that Fallout 4 updates and upgrades are coming to Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, as well as an update for PC players.
On April 25th, fans of the franchise will be able to return to the Commonwealth in Fallout 4 yet again with new content being released, even though this was initially supposed to drop last year. For those on new gen consoles, there will be native applications for both PS5 and Xbox X|S consoles, performance mode and quality mode settings, and stability fixes. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players will also get a free update with stability improvements and quest fixes to boot.
For those who are more inclined to use mouse and keyboard controls, the PC players will also receive widescreen and ultra-widescreen support, fixes to the Creation Kit, and various quest updates. More so, Fallout 4 will in fact be heading to the Steam Deck for those who would like to play on the go rather than locked to a singular chair.
The content will also be flowing strong, as there are several new things coming with the free update. From free Creation Club items, to a Makeshift Weapon pack, Halloween decor and more, there will be a bit of decor and customization options to cater to everyone. On top of that, Enclave Remnants bring players back to the Pre-War cabal, known as the Enclave, where players will complete a new questline.
Along with the items and Enclave uniform, there will also be Enclave weapon skins, armor skins, a Tesla Cannon, Hellfire Power Armor, X-02 Power Armor and a Heavy Incinerator heading to the game.
As if all of this wasn’t enough, the long delayed next-gen update was scheduled to come out just two days after the Fallout 4 London Mod, which is slated to drop on April 23rd. However, that now seems to be up in the air as a result.
