Fairgame$ kicked off today's PlayStation Showcase, giving a CGI glimpse at the first game from Jade Raymond's new Haven Studios.
The trailer didn't show any actual gameplay, but rather gives a look into a world where people go to extravagant lengths to rob the very wealthy. According to the PlayStation blog, Fairgame$ sees players join "an underground movement to rob the ultra-rich and rebalance the scales."
Mathieu Leduc, the creative director for Fairgame$, states on the PlayStation Blog that the upcoming heist game will allow players to infiltrate locations and become a "modern-day Robin Hood."
Fairgame$ will give you an opportunity to break the rules as a modern-day Robin Hood, a thrill seeker, or just someone who wants to collect cool loot. Trespass inside forbidden locations around the world, fill your pockets like a kid in a candy store and unravel the nefarious plans of untouchable billionaires.
While no release date was forthcoming, Fairgame$ will launch on PlayStation 5 and PC. It's a competitive multiplayer experience, but as of now, there are no details on whether it will include both cross-play and cross-progression.
Jade Raymond first announced its Montreal-based Haven Studios in 2021. This was after Google shut down their internal studios a little over a year before they shut down Stadia entirely. Raymond's Haven was then acquired by Sony last year entirely.
