Fae Farm is getting its first DLC, Coasts of Croakia, on December 14th. The colorful new update will add a new zone to explore, new quests, and more to the cozy farm sim with a magical touch.
The update, arriving on December 14th, will be free on Nintendo Switch and for those on PC with the Deluxe edition. There will be a brand new realm to explore with new characters and new quests. Judging from the update’s name, key art and teaser trailer, Coasts of Croakia, will introduce us to some frogs. Big frogs, small frogs, and much more in between. Frogs…and magic is what we can expect.
With a bit of time before the update launches, the Phoenix Labs team is likely to have more info in the lead up to the 14th. This is the first major new content release for Fae Farm, which originally launched back in September.
The PC Deluxe version and Nintendo Switch version both cost the same and include the first two DLC content updates. The base game (only on PC) does not come with access automatically, so one thing we may find out is DLC cost for PC base game owners who might want a little more content.
Phoenix Labs is also confirming nearly three dozen layoffs, in areas other than development teams. Confirming the layoffs affected 34 people “across our publishing, HR, IT, and shared services teams” but that games teams were not affected and Fae Farm and Dauntless are proceeding with updates as usual. This is their second cut of the year.
