Xbox's Fable reboot got another trailer this year at Xbox's summer showcase, and this time, we get a look at a hero coming out of retirement. Oh, and a release window.
Last year, we got an incredible trailer featuring Richard Ayoade; this time around, we see Super Hans actor Matt King take center stage as the next trailer focuses on more stories, including a small hint at who the villain might be.
Announced back in 2020, Fable appears to be shaping up quite well, keeping the cheeky humor the series is known for, as well as (if the trailer proves accurate) some incredible-looking gameplay. We'll obviously reserve final judgment for when we go hands on and can see if for ourselves, but right now anyone who has historically been a fan of the franchise has reason to be excited.
The trailer, which showcases a mix of gameplay and pre-rendered cutscenes, is set to be released in 2025, if the trailer is to be believed. We'll see what Playground Games has up its sleeve and whether it can hit that 2025 release window, but whenever it releases it'll be good to be back in Albion, I'm sure.
