Tower of Fantasy has lots of plans now that there’s a huge sea to be explored. The next  major expansion update, Sound of the Sea, will be out on May 11th with a new boss, new missions, a new map, and of course, new simulacrum.

With the new areas opening up, you’ll be able to explore the Deep Sea Caverns of The Dark Source. Clearly, there are some mysteries there, and accessing the new place is your first one to solve. You'll have missions where you can upgrade your materials that will help you to travel through the high water pressure that the Dark Source presents. There are also two new puzzle solving missions for you to take on.

There's also a new take on difficulty this time around, because this update will increase the difficulty with Dimension rather than your level as a Wanderer. This means is that enemies' power will increase, and there will also be additional rewards for puzzle-solving and better contents in the chests you find. Oh, and there’s a new world boss too–Abyssant: Nakya, who looks kind of like a mechanical skeletal spider crab. Maybe that’s the sea expansion talking, but be prepared to challenge Nakya soon.

With more terrain, more missions, and more story, there is a new simulacrum on the way. Gnonno is the granddaughter of Nuok, an explorer on the team that discovered Innars. Gnonno also wants to be an explorer but has built a reputation as a bit of a troublemaker. That said, she also comes with her own mysterious background, as new simulacra often do. In her case, this concerns a time she went exploring with her best friend and was the only one to return. According to an official update announcement, “One thing that is for sure is that Gnonno gained the power to summon a strange, octopus-like creature and command its tentacles”. We’ll be able to see much more when she gets a showcase along with her weapon, Mini Hurricane.

For more, head to Tower of Fantasy.
