Exoprimal is opening Season 3 with a bang, with a collaboration with Monster Hunter, a new Neo Triceratops boss fight, a brand new Jungle map, new gear, and events.
The latest collaboration with another Capcom franchise (after Street Fighter) is here, and the Monster Hunter event includes a new mission. Find monster tracks in Dino survival matches and collect them. After you collect enough of them, a special Mission will open up. The mission wil pit Exofighters against Rathalos, also known as “King of the Skies” and some Velociprey for good measure. This co-op boss fight is for 10 players, so team up and get hunting.
The collaboration runs from today through February 12th, and The crossover will also feature special cosmetic sets inspired by some of the monsters and Hunter armor from Monster Hunter 2. There are skins, like a Rathalos armor skin for Murasame, a Kirin armor skin for Skywave, and more. There are also Monster Hunter themes extras like emotes, decals, charms and comm wheel stamps.
Not to be overshadowed, but Exoprimal also offers some new content outside of the collaboration too. The Neo Triceratops is also going to appear in 10-player co-op battles. This boss fight is on another level, Since the Triceratops is mutated and enlarged with extra tough strength and endurance. It can also shoot out spikes and when it's charging into melee combat, it can also make its horns bigger, so you'll have to work together and keep out of the way to defeat this new boss.
Also in the update is The Jungle, a brand new map set in a dense tropical forest. Equip some gear for close and mid-range combat for success. Several new beta variant Exosuits make it in for season 3, including new weaponry and additional options to distinguish them from standard and Alpha variants. There is more new gear to discover too.
A series of events also kick off starting today. Double XP from now through Monday is on, with the next event, a Lunar New Year campaign, starting January 31st. The team even teases season 4, which will come in April and bring a third Capcom collaboration.
