Seeds of Renewal will be live next week, and the World of Warcraft team is taking us into the Azorathian Archives in its latest preview.

Dragonflight is coming to a close, but there’s still more to come and discover in the next update. There are stories to hear about the history of the Dragon Isles, solo and group activities, a new Public Event, and more goodies to add to your collection.

Traitor’s Rest is the site of a great battle between Neltharion’s troops and the various cultures across the Dragon Isles, so it’s the perfect place to delve into some history. Explore and become something of an archivist in your time here. The roasted Ram Inn will offer a new quest, “To the Archives!” to get you started.

Meet the lead archivist and his team,  and then meet a Geo-Archaeologist to begin a process of excavation across important sites. Every site will feature items that you can uncover and doing so will reveal history from the past of the Dragon isles. Recover items across the sites and see scenes from history.

You'll even be able to get your hands on goggles known as Technoscryers that will help you to pinpoint specific items to recover. Another member you’ll meet, Codicological Archeologist Nirobin, uses blue and bronze magic and a Relic to create familiars that help in getting info from relic sites.

Not only will you be learning, you'll get to uncover and make new discoveries as well as excavate and recover various relics or other Finds. Encountering a Find during this process will start a minigame, challenging you to keep an elemental bar in perfect balance while you dig up the relic you found. There will be small sites for the soloers and duos and bigger sites that will spawn a 10-minute event for groups to Keep the enemies at bay, and continue excavating the relic. When the 10-minute timer runs out, then it's time to defend against Doomshadow.

Rewards you can earn include a number of cosmetics, transmog items, and two new mounts.

See more at World of Warcraft.
