EverQuest is introducing level 50 Heroic Characters as a new option for purchase, after previously releasing Heroics at level 85 and level 100.
This widens the opportunity for those who want to start somewhere in the pack but didn’t have a suitable option in the marketplace. If you decide to buy one of these characters, whether you want to create a new character or upgrade an existing one, you'll get a special set of bonuses, including a fast speed horse mount, 216 slot bags, 2500 platinum, spells, a full set of gear, and supplies like food, drink, and ammunition. As long as you have Planes of Power, you’ll be ready to go and add the option for a level 50 Heroic.
The Darkpaw Games team announced the new addition to the Heroic characters options lineup along with the release date - May 15th. The price for the Level 50 will be 2500 DBC, compared to the existing options of Level 85 at 3000 DBC and Level 100 at 4000 DBC. You can also upgrade the Level 50 Heroic character at a later date and your Level 50 will be refunded. This won’t work in reverse, though, so no downgrading a Level 100 Heroic to Level 50.
There’s a FAQ on the entire process for those who have questions about how it all works, including that information. There’s also an important question about whether there will be free Level 50 Heroic characters, similar to how Darkpaw had given away level 85 Heroic characters before. Well, when they released the Level 100 ones, their answer was “Not at the release of this feature” and it remains the same here. As part of the 25th anniversary Year of Darkpaw, they did give out free Level 100 Heroic characters this spring to subscribers.
