It has been a big year for EverQuest fans, with the Fippy Fest event and several in-game events to celebrate the Year of Darkpaw. Yet, this is only the beginning, as we get a new look ahead.
In a new Producer's Letter for July 2024, Head of Studio Jenn Chan says that Fippy Fest was a massive hit and that they had so much fun meeting and greeting everyone in attendance. Though they are thrilled about all the events that have taken place thus far, they are far more excited to discuss the future of EverQuest and EverQuest II with fans.
The roadmap for July through September is teeming with events, giveaways, rewards, and more, but one of the biggest changes coming this month will be the server merge. Players on the Thornblade realm will make Mischief their new home unless they would prefer to use the free server transfer feature to move to Firiona Vie before the big day arrives.
Scorched Sky bonuses will also be making a return, as players will receive 76% bonuses to character XP, faction XP, and rare spawn chance from July 1st until July 8th at 11:00 PM PDT. On top of that, the Death, Death Death, event will be making a return, as well as the Living Legacy Raids event, giving everyone a chance to earn rewards they may have missed out on during the previous events and some new stuff to boot.
As for the future content, The Outer Brood is the next expansion heading to the masses, and during Fippy Fest, fans caught a glimpse of a gigantic dragon as a tease of what’s to come. Though the devs are not revealing all the tricks up their sleeve with this expansion as of yet, we do learn that beasts will speak a dialect that very few in the world can understand, and we will need to find the answers to questions the world asks about these strange and mysterious beasts.
