EverQuest II’s update 126, The Immeasurable Menagerie, is now live and you can join in to discover just what is up with Miragul. The update also features the next expansion Prelude, Healer’s Touch.
Master Etherealist Miragul has been behaving oddly and there are lots of questions as to just what's going on. Turns out the Miragul you’ll find is not the original, but instead this version is from another time and reality. Part of the jumping point of the news story in this update involves Miragul suddenly abandoning his laboratory in Everfrost and collecting creatures from various points of time and space for a new project.
Enter the new endless dungeon. While there is story to play through and investigation to do as to what reality this version came from and what's going on, one of the big features in this update, and the centerpiece of the update trailer is the brand new endless dungeon. You'll be able to take on all of these various creatures that have been plucked out of time and space and parts unknown in this new instance. The longer you can survive, the better your rewards will be.
This update also adds Hot Zones, which will offer extra rewards for a certain period of time before rotating out. You'll be able to check which zone is a Hot Zone in the zones window, to better plan your strategies. If you play in these zones, you'll get things like double currency rewards from drops and mission completion. So if you were going to finish a mission in one of the potential Hot Zones, you might hold off in order to maximize your return. Some zones will also have a chance for additional rewards.
The next expansion Prelude is also now open. Healer’s Touch is available on live servers for players of all levels, tradeskill or adventure. You can check your in-game mail for more to get started.
