EverQuest II’s Origins PvP server beta opens today. The new server, Dozekar, starts in The Shattered Lands and offers a challenging, fresh start in classic 2006 EQ2 form.’

The 2006 version of Norrath awaits, with a PVP focus, of course, and a greater emphasis on grouping. There will be no unlocked expansions on the server when it opens, so if you're up for the challenge, and are an All-Access member,  you can jump into the two-week beta test to help the team get everything ready for launch.

Leveling on the beta server will be staggered, with new level caps every few days. Starting today through May 15th, adventure and tradeskill leveling to 12 will open. From May 16th - 19th, the level cap will rise to 22. May 20-23rd, it will be 32. Finally, from the 23rd through the beta end on May 27th, it will be 50.

There are some other things to know, including no spell research on the server, a very limited marketplace, no free trade, no persistent instances, no holiday events, all bosses will have their original stat and buff packages, and attributes have their secondary functionality restored. The beta announcement has full details.

If Dozekar is calling your name, then select beta in the version selector  and hop in today.
