The Darkpaw Games team is celebrating the 24th anniversary of EverQuest and bringing the fun over to EverQuest II with the return of the Chronoportal Festival. This year’s event is updated with new quests, items, and more.

When it comes to EverQuest II, the Chronoportal Festival is a way to go back and experience some of the adventures of EverQuest in their own home game. The annual event will let you interact with Chronomancers to get the chance to play through classic encounters you may have missed, and favorites you want to revisit.

The event opens today and runs through March 16th. This year, there are eight new quests. These will let you get lost Age of Destiny items when you travel via portal to the past zones available. There are also some new items to collect, including a number of new household items, and new quest rewards, like the Petamorph Wand option Molkor Brute. Achievement hunters can earn themselves the newest one, Time Saver, or the previously-released Time Traveler.

Rewards and items from previous years’ events will also be available, with returning dungeons and quests available in your portal adventures. The Public Quest - Portal to the Past: Southern Desert of Ro gets some new rewards, including level 120+loot.

The live servers and the special rules servers will have the event in different capacities. On Tarinax and Varsoon, most of the event will be active, with a number of Portals to the Past active to take you back to Qeynos Hills, Plains of Karana, Qeynos Ruins, Steamfont, Nagafen's Lair, and Southern Desert of Ro. Kaladim and Kael Drakkel will have the entire event active except three areas that don’t fit the level requirements yet.

There’s a lot returning and a good helping of new stuff to do and collect this year, and you can read the full details in the announcement over at EverQuest II.
