EverQuest II will open up a final Avatar Camp as part of the Year of Darkpaw celebration and a reimagined, updated Roehn Theer raid.
The team announced that if you have participated in the Masquerades of Divinity event, starting October 1st, a newly reimagined Roehn Theer raid unlocks. This isn’t just the same classic raid that you remember, as this is a year of celebration and the EQ2 team is bringing something new to the table. You will have to discover what is new and how this reimagined raid works and attempts to survive it. While you are battling the Godslayer, you have some choices to make. Most notably, if you choose to empower him and increase the challenge that you face, when you defeat him, you'll unlock more–and better–rewards.
Some of the loot you can walk away with include some returning weapons to discover from prior Masquerades of Divinity Avatar encounters, a set of new Charms, a new crossbow and symbol, and new craftable ammo for crossbows, bows, and thrown weapons. That's not all, because you can also get your hands on Roehn Theer’s legendary swords (and you can convert them to 1h swords if you need to), and an increase to Raiders’ Ballads of Zimara Supremacy buff.
If you challenge all of the Avatars and then challenge and defeat Roehn Theer, you'll earn two different brand new mercenary appearances. These are debuting in EverQuest II as part of this challenge.
The raid unlocks on October 1st at noon PDT so you have some time to put together the perfect group to take on this reimagined raid.
