Darkpaw has released details about Fippy Fest, coming in June in honor of the 25th anniversary of EverQuest and 20th anniversary of EverQuest II.
The team shared a blog about what to expect from the event, with both the in-person event and the streamed event. For those who are going in person, they’ll get swag bags with limited edition posters of Norrath from both EverQuest and EverQuest II, a commemorative Year of Darkpaw hoodie, and a Fippy Fest t-shirt.
You'll also be able to walk away with the EverQuest original soundtrack on vinyl, with some folks getting a rare version. Everyone in attendance will get all of the digital goods from the VIP Edition pack for both games, that include ornaments, pet illusions and more they haven't revealed yet. Since they are commemorating some of the most long running MMORPGs out there, with the inclusion of rare items, and art, they're trying to make it special.
For the in-person attendees, there will be a meet and greet with the developers, a party where you can get your commemorative posters signed, as well as a tour of the Darkpaw and Daybreak offices. Additionally, there will be a number of chances to have one-on-one interactions with developers so if you are an EverQuest franchise super fan who can manage the $1,499 ticket price, this is a chance to ask about anything EQ and EQ2, and to see where it all comes together.
On Saturday, June 15th, there will be both a global streamed event and more in-person perks. All will start with a keynote to talk about the long history of the EQ franchise, celebrate and remember moments from those 20 to 25 years of fun, and to share some reveals. they promise to announce some of what's coming up and to tease other stuff.
The team will also hold panels with a number of topics as well as Q&A sessions from both games for both the in person and the online attendees. After this ends, the in-person experience will include more opportunities to chat with the devs and behind the scenes peeks.
