A few weeks ago, in March, PAX East took place, and it included a panel for EverQuest 2 that gave more insight into what’s to come. Now, the developers released their April Producers Letter to give fans even more information on what to expect later this year.

The devs first discuss Fippy Fest, which is coming in June, where they share there will be a massive amount of “Real-life Loot” for fans of EverQuest 2 to get their hands on if they do so choose to attend, including digital loot from the VIP Digital pack. For anyone who isn’t able to be there in person, there will be a livestream to join in on the fun.

Now, as for Darkpaw Rising, known as Game Update 125, there is a beta server that is currently live and being tested prior to release. The beta test will end on April 9th, which also happens to be the day that the update goes live to the public.

There are also a few things that happened behind the scenes that were not mentioned with the release of the initial 2024 roadmap. This includes the Jigsaw Puzzle event that is posted across the EverQuest 2 social media channels that reveals a puzzle piece with a task for fans to complete. The one who wins the daily challenge will get to choose the next piece to remove and get a point for the day. Those who get the most points when the event ends will receive a pack of items to call their own.

The EverQuest 2 forums have also gone live, allowing for discussion between players on topics like class skill suggestions, where fans can pitch their ideas to the devs.

This year has been jam-packed with content like the Brewday Festival and a year-long celebration known as Year of the Darkpaw, which comes with several items for players to collect throughout the entirety of the event.
