A limited-time “access event” for Eve Vanguard is taking place from November 28 until December 9, offering players a chance to peek into the in-development science fiction space-based shooter game.
As described by the blog, “players can descend onto diverse planetary battlegrounds as technologically immortal warclones, engaging in intense ground combat that directly impacts the largest player-driven war in gaming history.” These players pick a faction, then join 9v9 battles to help attack the enemy lines and contribute to their alliance’s progress.
The announcement continues to boast Eve Vanguard’s role as an extension of the Eve Online persistent universe, where the consequences of Vanguard’s playerbase will be felt as time goes on in the FPS once it emerges from its 2025 Early Access on Steam.
“EVE Vanguard will grow into a platform where players can experience unlimited possibilities in a persistent universe,” explained Creative Director Bergur Finnbogason. “By connecting ground combat with the vast conflicts of New Eden, we’re creating more than just a lobby shooter– we’re building an ecosystem where every player’s story becomes part of a greater narrative. This is just the beginning of our journey to create the ultimate connected FPS experience.”
Access can be gained by visiting the Eve Vanguard Discord server, or by being an Omega subscriber to the original Eve Online game.
