The annual Halloween Crimson Harvest event for EVE Online has been detailed.
The main draw of the Crimson Harvest is that every single kill in PVP combat has a 90% loot drop rate, meaning that players who are looking for specific items will be able to farm for them. Players will also be granted rewards just for logging on, with exclusive gifts available for both Alpha and Omega capsuleers. Omega pilots, however, receive extra rewards, even if they upgrade to Omega in the middle of the event.
In addition to all of this, however, every purchase from the EVE Merch Store comes with a free Sanguinary Savant skin, with the Devoter Sanguinary Savant and the Prophecy Navy Issues Sanguinary Savant Skin available for players who order two items and three items respectively.
EVE Online has had a Halloween event each year since 2016, with each year involving the Blood Raiders faction in some way. It makes some sense, as the Blood Raiders do feel a bit like the vampires of the EVE Universe. The event is live now and will run until November 5th, giving capsuleers plenty of time to farm those rewards.
CCP Games is setting up its second expansion of the year with a large narrative beat in the system of Altriunur, which may have something to do with the mysterious structure decloaking in Zarzakh. Goonswarm, one of the MMO’s massive player alliances, has announced an unprecedented voluntary move from its homeland in Delve to Tenefris. Meanwhile, the mystery in Altrinur teased a few days ago started to unravel this morning, with a massive Blood Raider fleet attacking a Thukker Fleet moving through the region.
