EVE Online Players Have Noticed A Strange Structure Decloaking In Zarzakh, The Same Day The Drifter Siege Ends

EVE Online's siege of Zarzakh concluded today, and while the Drifter threat to the Deathless Cult is somewhat lessened, there are strange things going on in the region's mists.

The Siege of Zarzakh kicked off earlier this month, with the four gates that lead into EVE Online's newest region being placed on lockdown. Zarzakh, which was opened up during last year's EVE Fanfest in preparation for 2023's Havoc expansion, has become something of a highway to quickly zoom around EVE Online's New Eden star cluster with ease, and the recent Drifter siege, and the fallout from it, has stopped that from occuring.

While the siege has ended, the stargate emanation lock is still in place, meaning capsuleers won't be able to quickly go from one end of the galaxy to the other without waiting out a cooldown period to unlock another stargate in the system. CCP Games shared some numbers from the siege, stating that over 500 ships, "worth well over 100 billion ISK," were destroyed, while Drifter Offices dropped a ton of modules for capsuleers.

Meanwhile, players in Zarzakh noticed a weird anomaly in the region today, with a large structure seemingly decloaking in the mists of the region. Players took to Reddit to speculate, with some joking that it looks like a Thargoid from Elite Dangerous, while others wondering whether we're seeing a new stargate flicker to life in the region. It'll be interesting to see how all this unfolds.
