After the events in Altrinur earlier this week, EVE Online is teasing its next narrative beat, this time through the Deathless cult.
CCP Games announced the tease via a social media post, stating that an "important message" from the Deathless is set to go live tomorrow at 15:00 EVE time (that's 11am ET/8am PT). The Deathless have been near the center of the goings on in EVE ever since last year's Havoc expansion, which saw the formation of Zarzakh, the Fulcrum station within the new region, and the explosion of pirate factions in Factional Warfare.
What the transmission will be is anyone's guess, but it might have something to do with the large structure that has been decloaking in Zarzakh's gravity hazard for quite some time now.
Players on the EVE subreddit are speculating that this could be the announcement of another EVE expansion, much like Equinox was revealed earlier this year. Others, in typical EVE fashion, have simply taken to the post to joke about the announcement, such as stating the Deathless will move into Delve, or that the Deathless are "leaving EVE" and will be giving their stuff away.
The last expansion, Equinox was focused on revitalizing Nullsec, though it felt hit or miss by the community. While it brought cool features such as the SKINR tool for ships, as well as new structures in space like the Metenox Moon Drill, the new Skyhook and the sovereignty changes that have rolled out since June haven't always been welcome by players. The new Sov changes are going to be mandatory here soon, which may be a reason that Goonswarm has decided to leave its home of Delve and move across Nullsec to Tenefris, which could result in some interesting battles between it and long-time enemy PanFam.
